These terms apply when you use paphosadvisor.com, our tools and our free introduction service. The most important point: our content is general information, not legal, tax or immigration advice.
The short version
Paphos Advisor publishes general information about moving from the UK to Cyprus. It is not legal, tax, financial or immigration advice.
We are not a law firm, accountancy practice or licensed immigration adviser. For advice on your situation, use a qualified professional.
Our introductions to partner firms are free to you. Some partners pay us a referral fee. Any advice comes from the partner, under the partner’s own terms.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus deal with disputes.
These terms of use (“terms”) apply to your use of paphosadvisor.com, including its guides, calculators, checklists, the plan wizard and our introduction service (together, “the site”). The site is run by Paphos Advisor (“we”, “us”), based in Paphos, Cyprus. You can reach us through our contact page.
By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies.
Everything on the site is general information for people considering or planning a move to Cyprus. It is not legal, tax, financial, investment or immigration advice, and it does not create a client relationship between you and us.
Cyprus and UK rules change often. The Cyprus tax reform that took effect on 1 January 2026 is a good example: it changed personal tax bands, stamp duty and the 60-day rule. We check facts against government and professional sources and show a last-verified date on pages that state legal or tax figures. Our process is set out in our editorial policy. Even so, we cannot promise that every figure is complete, correct and current on the day you read it.
Before you act, for example by giving up UK residence, buying property, forming a company or applying for a permit, check the current position with the relevant government department or a qualified professional who can look at your circumstances.
Our calculators, route finders, day counters and the plan wizard give estimates based on the information you enter and on the rules as we understand them. Treat the results as a starting point for a conversation with a professional, not as a decision. We are not responsible for decisions made only on the basis of a tool result.
If you ask us to, we introduce you to an independent professional or business, such as a lawyer, tax adviser, accountant, estate agent or insurance broker (“partner”). The introduction is free to you.
You agree not to:
The text, graphics, tools, page designs and the Paphos Advisor name and logo belong to us or to our licensors. You may view, print and share links to pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use needs our written permission.
We link to government websites and other sources so you can check facts for yourself. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
We work hard to make the site accurate and useful, but we provide it “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows:
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date they are published. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
If a court decides that any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of the terms still apply.
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising from them or from your use of the site, are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in the UK or elsewhere in the EU, you may also be able to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
