UK to Cyprus Tax: Leaving HMRC and Using the UK Cyprus Double Tax Treaty

Moving to Cyprus doesn't end your UK tax residency: HMRC's Statutory Residence Test does. Once you're non-resident, the UK–Cyprus double tax treaty decides who taxes what. Most UK private and State Pensions become taxable only in Cyprus, while UK rent and government service pensions stay taxable in the UK.
