How we research and check every page
Every number on this site, whether a fee, a tax band, a day count or a deadline, is checked against a stored source before it is published. We rank sources in three tiers:
- Tier 1: government. gov.cy, the Cyprus Tax Department, GeSY, the Department of Lands and Surveys, gov.uk and HMRC. These are stated as fact.
- Tier 2: professional. Big Four tax guides (PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY) and established professional firms. Used to confirm and explain, and attributed.
- Tier 3: experience. Forums, expat groups and first-hand accounts, including our own. Used for practical texture such as queues and wait times, always labelled, and never used for legal or tax numbers.
When sources disagree, we say so on the page rather than quietly picking one. The Cyprus 2026 tax reform is a live example: some official pages still show pre-reform figures, so our guides show both and explain which applies. Pages with legal or tax content show a last-verified date. The full process is in our editorial policy.
How Paphos Advisor makes money
The site is free to read, and the tools and relocation plan are free to use. We earn money when a partner firm we have introduced you to pays us a referral fee because you became their client. The fee comes out of the partner’s pocket, not yours, and you pay the same as you would going direct.
We never charge firms to appear in a guide, and a referral relationship never changes what a guide says. We tell you before any introduction, and we only share your details with your explicit consent. The detail is on our referral disclosure page.
