Driving in Cyprus: The UK Resident's Guide for 2026

Cyprus drives on the left, like the UK, so a right-hand-drive car feels normal from day one. As a resident you can use your UK licence for 6 months, then you must exchange it for a Cypriot one (€40, free at 65+, no test). Speed limits are lower than the UK's and the drink-drive limit is 0.05%.
