11 Category F Permit Mistakes British Retirees Make in Cyprus

Category F looks simple: show €9,568 a year of foreign income, pay €500, and Cyprus grants permanent residence. In practice people trip over the pink slip they need while waiting, the no-work rule and the new medical tests. Here are the eleven mistakes to avoid, and a checklist to run before Nicosia.

The file needs a declaration of secured annual income with original supporting documents and an affidavit, plus original Cyprus bank statements. Open the Cyprus account early so it has a history.
