Property Due Diligence in Cyprus: Independent Checks Before You Sign
The agent, the seller and the developer all want the sale to go through. Due diligence is the set of checks, run by people who work for you, that tells you whether it should. We introduce UK buyers to independent lawyers and surveyors in Paphos who check title, mortgages, permits and the building itself before you commit.

In the UK, your solicitor and your lender's surveyor catch most of this before exchange. In Cyprus there is no exchange. Once you sign, you are committed, so the checks have to come first.
