Buying Property in Cyprus: The Paphos Guide for UK Buyers

UK citizens can buy in Paphos with a free permission from the District Administration. Budget for transfer fees of up to 8% (halved on resales) or VAT of 5% to 19% on new-builds, plus legal fees. Stamp duty has gone since 1 January 2026.

Neither affects Paphos district, which is fully within the Republic's land registry system.
