Long-Term Rentals in Paphos: The 2026 Renting Guide

A 2-bed apartment on a long-term let in Paphos costs about €1,000 to €1,500 a month in 2026. Expect a deposit of 1 to 2 months' rent and a 12-month contract. Since 1 July 2026 every rent payment must go by bank transfer or card.

Stamp duty used to apply to leases. It was abolished from 1 January 2026, so new contracts don't need stamping.

Tenant rights in Cyprus

Most expat rentals are contractual tenancies, governed by the contract you sign and decided by the District Court if there is a dispute. The Rent Control Law does not cover them.
